This site is under construction to enable interactive communications and a new secure payment site for registrations to our Educational Dinner Meetings, Seminars, Exam Reviews, Scholarship Fund Raisers, etc. Following is the ISM Privacy Notice and Security Policy


This privacy notice discloses the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) -San Antonio, Inc. privacy practices for This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this web site. It will notify you of the following:

  1. The personally identifiable information that is collected from you through the web site, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
  2. What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
  3. Security policies and procedures that are in place to protect the misuse of your information.
  4. How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to register you for an educational dinner meeting. Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about special meetings, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

Your Access to and Control Over Information You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website:

  1. See what data we have about you, if any.
  2. Change/correct any data we have about you.
  3. Have us delete any data we have about you.
  4. Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. Sensitive information (such as credit card data) collected on this site is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page. While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, any of our Board of Directors and Officers, and more specifically the Treasurer and auditor) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers or boxes in which we may store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) -San Antonio, Inc. is organized as an affiliate of the national ISM, as a non-profit professional organization with a non-paid Board of Directors and Officers elected by the local members to manage the business as stated under its Bylaws.

ISM San Antonio's preferred method for their members and customers to transmit cardholder payment card information is via the ISM San Antonio's secured website, although all methods of receiving payments, including credit cards, will be accepted for and at any educational dinner meetings, certification exam reviews, seminars, fundraising events, etc. Our policy for any payment received in advance for any type of registration is authorization of a full refund with a cancellation received by the Board within 48 hours prior of the event.

Personal access to customer's credit card information is limited only to the specific Board of Directors and Officers who require access to the information. The Board of Directors and Officers who work with credit card information must make sure that information is properly secured at all times.

Board of Directors and Officers who handle credit card information are required to read and sign this ISM-San Antonio, Inc. policy on Credit Card Security, and hand-off all card data in their possession to the Treasurer.

The Treasurer is the only individual who has full access to all the credit card numbers and who will maintain the accounting for them.

Cardholder information maintained electronically is only kept in a secure environment on computers/servers that are secure and if stored for audit purposes must also be in a secured site marked "CAGE" and have an appropriate destruction date on it. On the destruction date all boxes containing credit card information must be shredded.

Signature on this Security Policy binds the individual to their responsibility, acceptance and compliance throughout and beyond their elected Term of Office with ISM-San Antonio, Inc.:
