Leveraging SCOR to Develop Future Ready Supply Chains:

The Digital Revolution

(presented at the 2017 APICS International Conference, October, 2017, San Antonio)

Joint Meeting with APICS South Central Texas Chapter

New Digital technologies are necessitating companies to re-imagine theirenterprise and supply chain organization, capabilities, processes, and information systems to effectively operate today while transforming to compete differently in the future. As omnichannel connected commerce transforms the competitive landscape across all industries, designing and operating a Smart Digital Supply Network that leverages and connects the capabilities of suppliers, service partners, and technologies to adapt to dramatic changes in customer expectations, delivery channels, regulatory environments, and customer segmentation is the mandate of the future.

This digital re-imagination of supply chains is real: Leaders are enabling their supply chains with digital technologies while laggards have to catch up to stay in the game. Using TCS and The University of Texas at Arlington research and the SCOR® framework, Rich Sherman will share what’s trending and how companies have to transform their thinking and organizational model to develop a Digital Enterprise Architecture operating in the new ecosystems evolving from digitalization of markets.

Attendees can expect to learn:

  • The Digital Revolution: technology forces converging to transform market ecosystems and the supply chains that serve them
  • How you can leverage the SCOR® Framework to manage and align functional silos and develop a future ready supply network strategy and digital enterprise architecture
  • Understanding the transformation from linear, sequential supply chain thinking to digital ecosystem supply network thinking
